Our ministry to our children and youth is the one of the most
important, if not the most important goal we have at the Church of the
Holy Nativity. Our Children's Ministries exist to support the families
of our church and community by providing a faith-filled, and loving
environment as we meet on Sunday mornings and throughout the week.

With our young members we use lesson plans created and provided by the National Episcopal Church. Designed to follow the Revised Common Lectionary, these lesson plans are written by experienced church school teachers using practical approaches to respond to the needs of the children and the volunteer teachers.
The children begin services in the sanctuary, listen to a Children's Sermon, and then go to their Sunday School class. They return to the sanctuary to receive communion with their family. During the summer months, formal Sunday School is suspended, but there are activities available during the regular Sunday School time.

This is for the age group 6th through 12th grade. The Youth group meets the first and third Sundays of each month at 9:30 AM. The group shares about life and the relevance of the Bible in their lives. There is no Youth Group during the summer, but they may participate in special projects or fellowship events. The group is actively involved with volunteer projects at Holy Nativity and in the community.
The first Sunday of each month is Youth Sunday when the youth of the church serve as ushers, greeters, intercessors, and lectors that day. We encourage the youth to be involved with the worship team by playing instruments or singing
Several times during the year, the group may join in with other youth groups in the diocese for activities or projects.
