Children's Ministries

Children's Nursery Room Our ministry to our children and youth is the one of the most important, if not the most important, goal we have at the Church of the Holy Nativity. Our Children Ministries exists to support the families of our church and community by providing a faith-filled, and loving environment as we meet on Sunday mornings and throughout the week. For a copy of our newsletter, containing our monthly events for children and youth, please e-mail us at office@churchoftheholynativity.org or call the church office, 208-888-4342.

Christian Education at the Church of the Holy Nativity, for those aged four through 5th grade is held 9:45am - 11:00am. On the fourth Sunday of every month, the children take an active role in the worship through skits, music, and the writing of prayers. (Please see our youth links for information about grades six through twelve.)

Nursery (0 to 4 Years Old)

Our nursery is staffed by a trained child-care professional and is open on Sundays from 9:30am to 11:30am. For further information or questions about our nursery contact our church office, office@churchoftheholynativity.org.

God's Little Ones (3 and 4 Years Old)

This is a new Christian education program for three and four year olds that uses coloring, music, movement and games to learn more about the love of God in Jesus Christ.

His Awesome Kids (Kindergarten and 1st Grade)

Son Beams (2nd and 3rd Graders)

Sonshine Connection (4th and 5th grade)

The Church of the Holy Nativity will be using a new and exciting curriculum this year for our children's church school called, Life Together. Life Together is a new way to approach Sunday and the rest of the week. It is a way of encountering God's word together - everyday. Life Together integrates worship, preaching and faith formation or learning in order to build strong faith communities.

The lessons children are learning in Sunday school are reinforced by the pastor's sermon as well as by the hymns and songs of the worshiping assembly. Imagine the same links are made to daily life. Now, stop imaging because it's here!

With the Life Together curriculum, connections happen. Visit the official Life Together website for more information about our curriculum. www.augsburgfortress.org/lifetogether.

Throughout the year there are numerous fun activities for our children that promote faith, community and service to others such as Vacation Bible Camp, carnivals, Children's Sabbath, Visits to Nursing Homes, Crop Walk for Hunger. Please watch this website or check our monthly newsletter for a list of these events. To obtain a copy of our newsletter please contact the office at office@churchoftheholynativity.org.
